After school, I decided to dedicate my life to a life of creativity using my hands and providing care and love to others. Hairdressing checked all these boxes and over the years I have come to realize that it is my true calling.

After high school, I began to study and do my practical trial period at two big salons in Bloemfontein, where I learned many secrets of the trade and evolved my knowledge and confidence.

After completing my practical experience, I started my career as a fully qualified hairdresser.

In 2020, while many salons were faced with the adversity of lockdown and many hairdressers and nail technicians were sitting without a means to earn an income, I realized that my passion for serving others and the confidence and trust that I had earned from my clients was all I needed to start my own business. My salon @HairByJarina started in March 2020 and by the end of the year, I was blessed with many clients and a healthy growing reputation for providing #EffortlessPerfection in services, style, aftercare and products.

I realized the need to diversify my services as I often had two or more clients waiting while their treatments were working so I added a nail section to my salon. This provided an additional service for my clients and so @NailByJarina was born.
